Ceramic artist Shell Moore uses the magic of earth, water, fire and air to transform fine clays into beautiful, handcrafted items at her home studio in the lakes region of central Maine. She has more than ten years experience working with clay. 
        Of the work, she says that "Clay entered my life as a positive force at a time when I needed creative healing. I am humbled by the complexities of crafting ceramic work and have a deep respect for its incredibly rich history. Clay is the living skin of this planet and like the skin on the human body, I see it as a dynamic organism  with infinite potential for expression.  
        The forms that appear in my work arise organically from the co-creative process of artist’s hands and clay’s potential and I find great satisfaction participating in the natural connection between human and earth. I hope others enjoy my clay pieces as much as I enjoy creating them."
